Figure 1.
The life thread springs from the spirit and is anchored in the heart of each body.
The consciousness thread springs from the soul and is anchored in the head of each body.
During sleep we become active on higher planes. When this is registered in the physical brain we remember after awakening that activity as a dream.
Waking: Activity in the physical body.
Figure 2.
Sleep: Activity in the etheric body. The physical body rests and registers.
Figure 3.
Sleep: Activity in the emotion body. The physical and etheric body rest and register.
Figure 4.
Sleep: Activity in the mental body. The physical, etheric and emotion body rest and register.
Figure 5.
Sleep: Activity of the soul. The bodies rest and register.
Figure 6.
Registration of activity on higher planes does not always take place. Without brain registration we don't remember dreams after awaking. Often there is a partly brain registration and do we remember dream fragments. The higher the plane on which we are active the more difficult it is for the physical brain to register this. But the more refined the brain is the easier registration takes place. When no registration takes place is the consciousness thread withdrawn. See the example below.
Sleep: Activity in the emotion body. The physical and etheric body rest without registration. The consciousness thread is withdrawn until the emotion body.
Figure 7.
The physical brain is being set in motion by the higher bodies but also has an activity of its own. Registration of this activity during sleep is after awakening remembered as a dream.
Figure 8.
Registration of activity in the etheric body occurs less because the etheric body is during sleep usually also in rest. Only immediately after falling asleep there is for a while activity in this body.
Figure 9.
Registration of activity in the emotion body is the most frequent because most people are polarized emotionally. This dream can be the registration of one's own activity on the emotion plane or of the perception of the activity of others.
Figure 10.
Registration of activity in the mental body is being remembered as a symbolical dream with a certain meaning. This type of dream is less frequent than the dream of the emotion body.
Figure 11.
Registration of activity of the soul occurs usually only with those who have established a certain measure of contact with their soul. In this dream type is not the dreamer himself put central but his service to the spiritual plan.
Figure 12.
During sleep can the consciousness thread be withdrawn. At death this always happens. During sleep stays the life thread always anchored in the heart but at death is also the life thread withdrawn.
Life: The consciousness thread and life thread are anchored in the physical body.
Figure 13.
Death: The consciousness thread and life thread are withdrawn in the etheric body. One remains in this for some time. The physical body is shed and disintegrates.
Figure 14.
Death: The consciousness thread and life thread are withdrawn in the emotion body. One remains in this for some time. The physical and etheric body are shed and disintegrate.

Death: The consciousness thread and life thread are withdrawn in the mental body. One remains in this for some time. The physical, etheric and emotion body are shed and disintegrate.
Figure 16.
Death: The consciousness thread and life thread are withdrawn in the soul. As soul one remains for some time. The physical, etheric, emotion and mental body are shed and disintegrate. The consciousness thread rests in its source. The life thread is not withdrawn further. The consciousness thread and life thread are thrown out again when it is again time to incarnate.
Figure 17.
On the plane where one is active during sleep can different types of encounters take place.
Encounters on the etheric plane during sleep are probably less frequent because after falling asleep the etheric body is also soon laid to rest. Nevertheless there are possibilities for encounters.
On the etheric plane one can during sleep encounter waking people. They shall usually not be aware of this encounter.
Figure 18.
On the etheric plane one can during sleep also encounter sleeping people. They may possibly be aware of this encounter.
Figure 19.
On the etheric plane one can during sleep encounter deceased that have not yet shed their etheric body. They may possibly be aware of this encounter.
Figure 20.
Encounters on the emotion plane during sleep are frequent because the majority of people is active here during Sleep:
On the emotion plane one can during sleep encounter waking people. They shall usually not be aware of this encounter.

Figure 23.
On the emotion plane one can during sleep encounter persons that have been created in emotional substance by oneself or others. This can also be images of acquaintances.
Figure 24.
Encounters on the mental plane during sleep are also possible.
On the mental plane one can during sleep encounter waking people. They shall usually not be aware of this encounter.

Figure 28.
Encounters on the soul plane can take place when a certain measure of contact with the own soul is established.
On the soul plane one can during sleep encounter waking people. They shall usually not be aware of this encounter.

Figure 30.
On the soul plane one can during sleep encounter deceased that have shed all their bodies. They may possibly be aware of this encounter.
Figure 31.
On the plane of the soul can no encounter take place with soulless forms that have been made by oneself or others. After all on the soul plane everything is soul.
Especially on the soul plane are also real encounters with angels and saints possible. On the levels of the bodies are such encounters usually soulless reflections as described.
On the etheric plane is no mention made of encounters with etheric soulless forms that have been made by oneself or others. Theoretically this is possible however most people are not capable to make such complex etheric forms.
With prophetic dreams is on the higher planes perceived what is busy clothing itself in physical substance but has not yet manifested itself on the physical plane.
